Menlo Park Mid-Century Remodel

This is an updated beautiful classic 1950’s original mid-century modern home designed by the late Frank Lloyd Wright’s apprentice, Ellis Jacobs.
With such an architectural gem, many of the unique features of the original architecture have been maintained in this home during the remodel. The spectacular existing CMU (concert masonry unit) walls have been maintained around the fireplace as well as the outside. Although the entire glass back wall is still in existence, the windows have been replaced and operable windows placed above the fixed glass. The original ceiling and existing footprint of the home has artfully been maintained, while expanding the master bathroom, closet and bedroom.
