Greenmeadow, Palo Alto Eichler Renovation
A complete interior remodel with exacting specifications and constructions. Details in this remodeling project include:
- custom cedar walls and matching sliding pocket-door in the living space (Gallery images 10, 11 and 12)
- trim-less easy jams on interior doors (requiring walls to be flush and square – no trim!)
- custom European kitchen cabinets with super-tight 1/8” reveal gaps between cabinets and drawers
- Japanese-style Ofuroba ‘bathing place’ with a shower and adjacent ofuro (the bathing tub itself) for soaking
The all electric house is net zero, has solar PV as well as an induction cooktop (gas utility was removed from the house), a condensing style clothes dryer, and the in-floor hydronic system is used for both radiant heating and cooling.
